Responsibilities

Vendor (if used):

training of fleet personnel, liaison between the fleet and DMV, daily deposit of funds into DMV’s account, daily reconciliation and summary reports, inventory management of License Plates and Decals, and for ensuring that the fleet complies with DMV’s procedures.

Fleet (using a vendor):

submitting the electronic application transaction for titles and registrations, printing registration cards, and the forwarding of daily reports and ownership documents directly to DMV.

Fleet (not using a vendor):

development and testing of appropriate software and interface to DMV’s computer system, procedures for, training and monitoring of fleet personnel, daily deposit of funds into DMV’s account, daily reconciliation and summary reports, inventory management of License Plates and Decals, submitting the electronic application transaction for titles and registrations, printing registration cards, and the forwarding of daily reports and ownership documents directly to DMV.

DMV:

performing quality control desk audits, providing assistance to the vendors and fleets with unusual situations, the consignment and delivery of inventory items to the fleet site, and the printing and mailing of titles.
