Mobile Motorcycle Training Unit

DMV and the Motorcycle Safety League of Virginia, Inc., a non-profit group dedicated to rider education, created the mobile unit to offer motorcycle safety training classes in the more remote parts of the state. The mobile unit complements DMV's Virginia Rider Training Program, which offers motorcycle training to novice and experienced riders at 24 training sites across the state.

This unit is a 32-foot trailer converted to an air conditioned classroom with desks, chairs, restroom facilities and seven training motorcycles. Instructors will use the portable classroom and motorcycle range painted on the training parking lot to teach students the mental and physical skills needed to operate a motorcycle.
